This includes the meat industries, dairy industries. Whoever has the $ tellls you what is black and what is white and most people believe it without even thinking about it. Most people are pro enviromentalist etc. but don’t know that the everyday things they buy or do are so against that. And then they think that vegeterians and vegans are so strange. it’s all just so sad…politics
Jeez haven’t we had enough of the crazy macho bravado in politics? Just how exactly does McCain expect to find Bin Laden?
I just watched about 30 seconds of CNN (which I never do), and not just any old CNN, this is PrimeTime, friday night, headline news, and what are they talking about?
a) That an elephant beat a human in a hotdog competition at the State Fair.
b) Michael Jackson’s monkey “Bubbles” and what he’s going to do now.
Do Americans realize that this isn’t news? Do they know that most countries don’t give a sh-t about that sort of thing? Do they know that there are real things going on in the world? This isn’t news – It’s tabloids hey and entertainment.
And don’t even get me started on Fox.
For example, I love Bruce Hornsb’y music. I grew up with it and I continue to love it, even though he has evolved in some ways that I am not necessarily crazy about.
I remember being able to listen to his music as a kid and love it for the pure musical quality and the feelings that it evoked out of me. And I suppose it’s just part of getting older, but now when he articulates on where certain ideas for his music come from, it disillusions me to an extent, because it takes away the special meaning a specific song holds for me, because I didn’t know at the time hoe it came to be for him and therefore I was free to attach my own eaming for it within my life.
I just believe an artist should keep the meaning of some of their songs private and separate from the public. A little mystery is good and you avoid this type of scenario from happening and putting distance between you and your audience.
Sometimes I can separate the politics from the music and sometimes I can’t.
