Harlem Voters on Howard Stern’s Show

Howard Stern sent someone out to the streets to interview voters in Harlem and see if they were voting for Obama because he was black or because they agreed with his issues. They said that they liked his issues and then were asked about which specific issues they agreed with. The only problem is that the issues given were all mccain’s issues and they agreed with every one. These voters didn’t even know the difference between Obama and mccain’s positions Note to Commenters: I will delete any racist comments that I see. Just because these blacks are ignorant does not mean that you should go around throwing racist words out.

John Edwards said:
“I believe that powerful interests, particularly big corporate interests, have literally taken over this government.
And they’ve taken over against the interest of ordinary Americans. And the living, breathing example of that is, in 1993, when we were in control of the White House, of the United States Senate and the United States House, we made an effort to pass universal health-care.
The big drug companies, insurance companies and their lobbyists killed it.”
When he says that these companies and their lobbyists killed it, does he mean that they bought the votes of those in the government? It seems to me that he is saying two contradictory things here: (a) they were in the majority and were going to use that fact to pass universal health-care, and (b) they did not pass universal health-care because they were bought off.
It seems to me that if you can be bought off then you weren’t really trying to pass universal health care. What am I missing?

Today Edwards admitted what we all knew- that he cheated on his wife and had a baby with another woman. The sad thing is that most of the Democrat Party that supported his presidential run knew about it too but denied that it was true. Are there any Democrats left that believe in honesty?
