I heard on the news today and I just wanted to get your take. Do u think that John Edwards is in someway hurting Obamas chances of becoming the democratic nominee? Do u think that John Edward supporters would more than likely be Obama supporters?

1. Why would anyone say, when Obama was elected, that they hope that he fails? Wouldn’t that mean that the whole country would suffer? Wouldn’t we want the President to succeed, no matter who he/she is?
2. Why would people complain about Obama only after a month of him being in office, after eight years of Bush?
And those are honest questions, ’cause I don’t know much about politics, so I’d like someone educated to explain. Thanks in advance! No crazy rant answers please!

I’ve watched the Wolf Blitzer interview of Cheney (not one of my favorite people) and cannot believe that the question concerning his daughter and her pregnancy was even asked. This is irrellevant and trivial when compared to other subjects discussed and is so personal a matter that it is almost blatant harassment of Cheney by Blitzer, IMO. What disturbs me most is that this is a trend in our news services. The ‘question’ is now being exhaustively reviewed and critiqued on many TV channels. We get more fluff, like who’s divorcing whom, or who’s not wearing panties in some crotch shot from Hollywood and who’s blowing coke that there isn’t time enough left for real news analysis. Is anyone else as tired of this as I am? Does anyone else consider not allowing their children to watch the news? Does anyone else want to see ‘hard’ news and have quality analysis of it like I do? Maybe I’m alone? Please comment about how you feel about this.
