most politicians lie and make false promises, so why are people so CRAZY when it comes to politics? i’ve heard a story about a woman who wouldn’t speak to her “good friend” because she voted for bush last election. i’ve also met the nicest people who turn into stubborn monsters when politics is brought up…people even resort to physical violence when it comes to politics. i’ve personally heard people say that their cars have been egged and dented if they don political bumper stickers, and i’ve even heard stories of attacks due to political beliefs…IT’S SO STUPID AND POINTLESS. am i the only one who believes this?

You are not the only one, but not liking something doesn’t mean you can ignore it, specially when it is something like politics. Politics somehow will affect your life. The decisions that those liars and shallow people will do eventually will affect your life one way or another. So you better keep your eyes opens, and if a vote can remove one of them or replace bad one with less bad one, do it.. don’t just ignore it.

People get mad because like it or not what goes on politicaly effects my life and your life. Never forget this; government is the only institution that has legal authority to imprison and/or kill you. The government takes money out of your wallet. So huge tax increases are basically the same economically for families like getting a job demotion. Politics determinies when we go to war. It determines how we power our homes, since they can vote yes or no on new power plants. The real question is how you can’t get up in arms over politics. This is your life don’t you want some say in it? That is why I am an advocate for states rights. Government power should be put as low as possible, so it is more accountable to the people it effects.
