I think it has to do with him pledging his delegates but how would that work? And who would he give them to Hillary or Obama?

He couldn’t really give them to anyone but he could suggest that they support one or the other. He would probably endorse Obama since Obama runs on a platform that is closer to what Edwards is running than Hillary’s.
Since Edwards leaving the race would leave a fairly large number of voters without a candidate, they could certainly swing the vote in favor of one or the other remaining candidate. Edwards, however, claims to be in it for the long run, so we’ll see how it pans out.
he is such a good guy, I do like him… but he stands no chance at all… I wish he would leave,
He’d give them to the one who offered him the best deal (vice presidency, consideration for one of his pet issues, etc.) This happened in the early 1800s when Andrew Jackson got a plurality in a three-way race, and Henry Clay (third place) threw his support to Martin Van Buren (2nd place) and stole the election from Jackson. (Jackson won the next one.) It would take until 2000 for another election to be stolen from the majority of the American people so deceitfully.
I;D SAY HE WOULD GIVE HIS VOTES TO OBAMA.BECAUSE IF HE GAVE THEM TO HILLARY SHE WOULD ONLY CRY AGAIN.
