Today Edwards admitted what we all knew- that he cheated on his wife and had a baby with another woman. The sad thing is that most of the Democrat Party that supported his presidential run knew about it too but denied that it was true. Are there any Democrats left that believe in honesty?

The worst part is that he DENIED the affair, he DENIED being the father and he has DENIED that child of her father. He is truly a despicable man.
Both parties seem equally capable of scandal. The difference is that Republican scandals tend to be in alignment with their publicly-stated values, while Democrat scandals tend to be out of alignment with said publicly-stated values.
I remember when Randy “Duke” Cunningham (who was my Congressman at the time) had to resign over some bribes he took from defense contractors. But Republicans are pro-business and pro-defense.
How many Washington Democrats claim to support public education, but send their kids to private schools? Like, all of them. Same goes for unionized teachers in public schools — they overwhelmingly tend to send their kids to private school. Democrats claim to be the defenders of women and their rights, but then Bill Clinton, Mark Sanford, and John Edwards have affairs.
So Democrat scandals tend to be more hypocritical.
