It is perfectly natural for some chickens to lay green eggs! I have ten chickens at home that will. Does anyone else think this is increadibly stupid?

How this made a huge story is beyond me. They acted like green eggs were so very rare, so this bird is an easter egger on a farm, that is a shock why? While many novices would think a rare egg is brown or brown only comes from a farm and better yet a green is a freak of nature. This story seems to only fuel ignorance. And some even think there is a difference in quality and nutrient based on the shell color. Shows how removed people are to not know eggs vary from pearl white to deep green, blues, or a dark chocolate brown. The only reason mass produced eggs are white is so they can see easily blood spots and other imperfections.
BTW want to add easter eggers can produce blue just like arucanas. My best layers were my easter eggers who laid deep olive greens. Huge and daily. They were better than my production hens.
How about schools take a “whole day” out and teach kids basics like this since many parents do not know and pay taxes? You know teaching kids this is normal would not take away from classroom time as it is so simple and would not be befuddled by a lazy reporter.
Amazing some basics are headline news.
