There is this relative of mine who does not have his life together at all. He does nothing all day except complain about other family members lives. For some reason he seems to not realize that his life is a COMPLETE mess. He came to town with no money, no job, no friends, and yet talks trash about everyone. Some of the things that come out of his mouth is ridiculous. He says the craziest things. He’s fresh out the army, and something just ain’t right. He wasn’t right before he went now he’s just…I don’t know. I can’t take it for much longer. When he talks about people, or even politics it…drives…me…crazy!
How can I make it through these few weeks?

You have no idea what he is going through when he is alone. He must be in pain emotionally after all he had been through in life. Talking trash and all must be his way out of asking for help. Instead of getting frustrated with your relative, why not ask your family members how you can help him out. He might need a doctor’s attention or a spiritual adviser. You never know. Good luck!
You’re just going to have to take a deep breath….this too shall pass. Turn on that old southern charm that even yankee girls should be able to muster up. Turning up the volume on your IPod, and going to bed early will help too….long walks after dinner……soaking in the bathtub…..remembering that it takes all kinds to make this crazy world go round is my best advice. Don’t loan him money!
Maybe he’s talking trash about family members because they wouldn’t allow him to stay with them.
Whenever he starts talking about politics or family just tell him you have work to do and go to another room. And are you sure he’s only going to be staying for a couple of weeks?
